Time to Take a Deep Breath and Hit Send.....
Well, it's time. Book One, Murder One Door Over, is ready. Am I? I have ask a few friends to read it and all but one seem to really like it. You know, that's ok. I know everyone won't like it, it won't be there kind of story or just not for them. Whatever!
I attended a conference in April and met with an editor. I was so nervous. I almost didn't go. I'm glad I did though. I met with Anna Davis of Henery Press. And guess what? She was a very nice person. She wasn't scary or mean. She was just another woman at the conference. Ok, she's a lot more than that, she's an editor, but she didn't make me feel that an idiot for thinking I could write. Instead we talked about my book, my goals and what she was looking for. Like I said, I'm glad I went.
I'm submitting my manuscript tonight. And yes, I'm nervous. I'm doing it anyway. If they like it great, if they don't like it life will go on. I'm not going to say I won't be disappointed but that's it. So, wish me luck as I step out of my comfort zone.
Book Two, Murder Two in a Tub, is more than halfway finished. I love this writing thing. I only wish I had more time to do it.
** Side note: Grandbaby #10, Colton, is only about two weeks from making his debut.
